Well, what we were all expecting is finally here. Yesterday LaDanian Tomlinson said he doesn’t want to play for the Chargers anymore. In a radio interview this week he stated that he felt disconnected and questioned the commitments of some of the players. If you can’t tell, he doesn’t want to go quietly.
“I don’t know what it is,” he said. “We’re (at) the point where these guys that come into the league, it’s not about the same values no more. It’s not about football, the things that you’re taught — faith, family, football. To them, it’s notabout that no more. It’s the name … It’s ‘me.’ And that’s the thing that’s so disappointing to me, because I can’t deal with that no more. If that’s going to be allowed I just can’t deal with that type of stuff.”
Co host Scott Kaplan of the “Scott and BR Show” on XX Sports Radio asked LT about his disappointment as a team leader, and in some of the things in the Chargers playoff loss.
“Some of this I feel like is taken out of my hands,” Tomlinson said. “You said a leader and all this kind of stuff, but there was a big part of this year, where for whatever reason, I didn’t feel connected as far as the team, the unity, togetherness, family. I didn’t feel that at times in the season. There were times that I did. But I’m saying that was a problem in the locker room, I felt like. Just my opinion.”
Tomlinson said he was as happy this season as he had been in some time, saying he felt the current Chargers team cost him his best chance at a Super Bowl. A playoff loss, a game in which the team committed numerous uncharger-like mistakes, changed his thinking.
The way I think of it, it would be tough to be LT. He used to be the face of the Chargers. The Chargers were HIS team. But, now Philip Rivers is the team leader, and LaDanian is no longer as big of a name as it used to be. I don’t think he wants to take the pay cut, or share the stardom either. When you think San Diego Chargers, you don’t think LT anymore. You think Philip Rivers, Darren Sproles & Vincent Jackson. That would be hard on any declining NFL stars ego.
I don’t know what us football fans are supposed to think. I don’t think the Chargers will be a very different team without him, as he wasn’t getting a lot of playing time anyway. Maybe the Bolts wont choke this year.
This week, the app of the week is one of my favorites. In Labyrinth 2 you tilt your iPhone or iPod Touch to get your ball into the right hole. Sounds simple, right? Well, that’s not all. In the all new Labyrinth 2 there are many more features than in the original Labyrinth. There are cannons that will blow up your ball if your not careful. Magnets can pull you into cannons or holes and make you start all over again. If you go through the laser walls you set off sirens and doors close. There is now also a feature where you can go online, enter a couple codes and create your own level packs. There are thousands of level packs to download. Though, there are tons of packs to download, I’d suggest finishing all of the official level packs. Official meaning created by Illusion Labs. I’ve created my own level packs before, and the online creator is really easy to use and i had my 6-level pack done in ten minutes. I bought this app as soon as it came out, and I would highly recommend buying it if your are a fan of the original Labyrinth, or are looking for an amusing and challenging game.
Sorry to the fans of The Jeary. Due to time constraints… at least that’s what i heard… thejeary.wordpress.com is closed for good. Just like i said before about Pappercut, though that site is closed, Bandew444s will be here for a long time to come. I am even working on upgrading the site.
This weeks app is an app I find very handy when your on the go, and you need your Mac in your pocket. This weeks app is Remote Tap by ReadPixel. You can see your Mac screen from anywhere. Just set up your iPhone (or iPod Touch) to the wifi connection that your Mac is on and it will automatically get all the settings. This app is one of my favorite apps on my phone because you get all the features that you would if you were sitting at your Mac. You can do Photoshop, listen to iTunes or surf the web. One feature this app does lack, however, is the ability to stream video. I’ve tried this many times, but it just never works. If it works for you, either leave a comment or send us an email at admin@bandew444.com. This is one of the greatest apps in the app store, so if you are a Mac/iPhone owner and you don’t have it… get it now! I know this is a short one… but this app will mostly be explained in the screen shots.
OK. So I know that alot of you are watching college football and hoping that your team will be doing very good. But anyways here is the BIG 10 standings. Enjoy:)
Have an idea for a post for us just let us know by emailing us at our site. To do so just go to the top right corner of the site and there should be a thing or box that says, “Have questions or comments Email us” there should be a link in blue following that click on that link and your on your way.
This weeks app is Doodle Jump. Doodle Jump is a game where you jump from platform to platform, trying to get as high as you can, while avoiding obstacles
such as black holes, UFOs and monsters. It’s actually a lot more fun than it sounds. It gets VERY addicting. You can get “power-ups” or “boosts” such as jet packs, springs that boost your jump, helicopter hats, trampolines or the newest one, spring shoes. The spring shoes are like the springs, but they stay with you for 5 jumps. Currently, the high score for this game is 1,311,248. My high score is only 51,445. I could spend all day trying to beat that score, but it gets frustrating after a while. Another great feature is that you can see all of your stats and scores, and the high scores daily, weekly or of all time. You can also connect it to Facebook and see your friends scores. Doodle Jump has also connected with two other games, Pocket God (featured in App Of The Week #1) , and The Creeps!. Characters from both of these apps have made appearances in Doodle Jump, and the Doodler has been in them. You can see screenshots of all of the games below. In Pocket God, the Doodler tries to shoot you as you do the Ooga Jump. I don’t have The Creeps! yet, but I will try it soon to see what the Doodler does. In Doodle Jump, the Creeps replace the monsters that kill you if you touch them while you are jumping. You can activate this feature by entering your name as “creeps”. If you enter your name as any of the pygmies from PG, you can jump as one! Like I said about Pocket God, this app is a must buy!
If you can’t tell, Bandew444’s is not a self- hosted blog. Right now I am working on making it one. We are very busy right now and may not be getting as many posts up as we’d like, but B4 and hopefully The Jeary will be and look a lot better in about a month. App of the Week #2 will be coming next week. Thanks for visiting!
This is our new thing here at B4, App Of The Week. Every Friday we will bring you one our favorite iPhone/iPod Touch apps. This week, we decided that our favorite app is: Pocket God, by Bolt Creative. Their latest episode, episode 28, is titled, “Barking Spider, Crouching Pygmy”. For those of you who are not familiar with Pocket God, you get your own little islanders to play with and do what you want with. You can strike them with lightning, drown them or blow them up. You control the weather, the volcano, the fishies, the sun, the moon and even the sharks with laser beams attached to their heads. There are four different “worlds” to explore. Go to Dinosaur Island, The Graveyard, Palm Tree Island or underwater. There are mini games that you can play in Pocket God, also. There is Ooga Jump, Coconut Bouncing and Pygmy Bowling. Thees all happen while you’re playing, instead of touching a button and waiting for a different game to load. The Bolt Creative team comes out with new Pocket God episodes as often as they can to keep everything new and exciting. With each update comes new features. For Example, when they came out with the new episode, Barking Spider, Crouching Pygmy, they added a spider in the graveyard that you fight with a spear. This is one of the best apps in the app store, and you’ll never get bored… it is a must buy.
The Chargers were in Pittsburgh today, and had a great second half offensively. The first half was absolutely terrible. No offense, no defense… nothing. It all added up to 21 points in the first half. Take away one of those TD’s and I think the Chargers would’ve won. My player of the game: Antonio Gates. He had a big game, 9 receptions for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Chargers had an awesome comeback in the second half, scoring their only 28 points. They just dug themselves to deep of a hole. Next week the Chargers have a bye, and the Steelers are facing Detroit (1-3-0, 4th in the AFC North). So, after this week:
Chargers (2-2, 2nd in AFC West)
Steelers (2-2, 3rd in AFC North)
Upset of Week 4:
Denver Broncos: 17 Dallas Cowboys: 10
That game was a HUGE surprise. I was hearing all about Dallas all week, and how phony Denver 3-0 start is. I’m not saying that the Broncos, who lead the AFC West at 4-0, deserve it… but they are there and that’s all that matters now. They beat Cincinnati on a fluke play, but whatever.
They have a tough schedule coming up. If they can go through the Patriots, the Chargers, the Ravens and the Steelers with 2 or less losses they might actually be a contender. I don’t see it happening, though. My prediction is that they will have MAX, 1 win. New England, Baltimore and Pittsburgh will dominate them on defense and out play them on offense. If they are not beat up after their game with the Patriots, then Denver and my Chargers are going to have a close game on their hands. However, if the Broncos go out there tired and beat up from the previous week, the Chargers can put it away early.
